I have white dots on my finger nails?

I have small white dots on my finger nails and i was wondering what causes them and what can i do to get rid of them and to prevent them from coming backI have white dots on my finger nails?
it's calcium deposit in the nails, check your blood, get some blood tests of mineral and vitamin count in your body, then you can be sure what's missing and what's overflowing.

i'm talking of experience, not just blabbering.I have white dots on my finger nails?
White splotching on the nails in the absence of trauma is indicative of a period of nutrient depletion; specifically sources of keratin.

In matters of traumatic origin, leukonychia (or Leuconychia) is the medical term for white discoloration appearing on nails. It is derived from the Greek words Leuko white and Onyx nail. The most common cause is injury to the base of the nail (the matrix) where the nail is formed.

GoodLuck :)
The two most common reasons are trauma and lack of calcium. They arent anything to worry about, and nearly everyone gets them. All you need to do is drink some milk (or talk calcium supplements), and use a hardening nail product (there are tons out there). Of course, if you really beat up on your hands, you will probably get them every now and then, but doing thsoe two things will make your nails more resistant.
me too i always heard they were from stress but then found out thats not true they're caused when you hit your nail on something but it doesnt show up for awhile.. i never remember actually hitting my nail but i heard that from a doctor.. one of those is the reason lol so either stop stressing or stop hurting your nails aha :)
vitamin deficiency
THIS means that your body suffers from low calcium!!!
You need more protein. Drink more milk and take vitamins daily!
