its green/yellow in one spot and it red and poofy below the nail. i read to soak it in hot salty water but does that rlly get the pus out???? how does it break the skin???? i need to deal with it RLLY RLLY SOON!!!! im kinda scared but i dont want a doctor slicing it open with a scalpel, i ve done it before with just a pin but i tried that and it didnt rlly work this time...?? help!I have an infected finger !!!! from nail biting!!!!?

Continue to soak your finger in warm water with some salt in it. After it has soaked, clean off a needle with alcohol and poke the area with pus. Gentle push the pus out. Clean with hydrogen peroxide and put some antibacterial cream on it and cover with a bandaid. It may come back but just repeat the above. If the swelling becomes worse or you develop a red streak up the finger or increase in the amount of redness. Go see a doctor. I've done this before and usually after 2 or 3 days it's gone.
