Why do Humans have toe and finger nails?

Such as how we evolved to have themWhy do Humans have toe and finger nails?
Finger nails and toenails are evolutionary remnants from the days when our ancestors needed claws for climbing and eating. Did you know that humans also have a residual tail? Also an evolutionary leftover, no longer needed, but still presentWhy do Humans have toe and finger nails?
So it's easier to scratch someones eyes out, and get rid of that nasty little itch.
Nails are to protect the digit end and provide a support when using the digit, it's the same substance as hair which is to protect body areas prone to temperature or rubbing, such as the armpits.
to save the fingers and toes from fraying, same reason we have lips, to stop mouth from fraying
They are a modified claw. Claws can be a hindrance performing some of the tasks primates do, so most of them have developed flat nails instead.
I Think it is to do with our evolution, we lost our tails but still have the point where they should be, finger and toe nails are probably the remnants of claws that other animals and mammals still have!
It would be really hard to walk without toes and really hard to hold things without fingers, well without finger nail u would cut yourself alot and have trould picking up some stuff
It is another way to the body gets rid of waste products.
for grip
