I like nail polish and i like the way my finger and toe nails look when theyre done drying and how they look in flip-flops. A friend told me that by doing this a lot, or by removing the polish and redoing your nails messes them up a lot. I want to know if that is actually true since I dont use nail polish removal non-stop..Does painting your finger and toe nails actually damage them?
Yes, its terrible! Your nails were never meant to be painted on, and doing it so often takes the color away away..they start to turn yellow. And like someone else said, yes, fungi can start to grow. Everyone I know who paints their nails often has ugly, yellow, weak nails.Does painting your finger and toe nails actually damage them?
I don't think it will mess them up a ton. Actually, it helps prevent your nails from chipping and breaking. But I think that you should have breaks from wearing it. Hope this helps!

The nails can become discolored, stained, and dried out. Which can possibly lead to problems but its rare. There are creams you can use and other several other products to help protect the nails and provide enrichment to strengthen them.
You can ask someone in a cosmetics department of a store to show you what you can do if you are concerned about it,
Nail polish and nail polish remover can't really damage your nails... they can become dry though. After using nail polish remover use a nail fortifying cream and then wait a while before painting them. Nail polish, if you don't use a base coat, can stain your nails really bad. Also, picking your nail polish off, instead of using nail polish remover, can cause imperfections and cracking.
