What happens to old finger nails?

i was just wondering what happens to finger nails after you cut them off... and hair if anyone knows.. also i was thinking about taking a survey if people only answer if they think they will get 10 points for it to increase their record but i wont get any yeses so it would be pointless...What happens to old finger nails?

It turns to dust. Just like how we are created, we return to that form. Every single part of our body..
Dust is predomintely sheded skin cells, I assume that this includes fingernails....
They decompose I would assume.
Nothing happens to hair or finger nails after you cut them.
They digest in my stomach, since I eat them.

Well im not sure, but I assume they deteriorate over time.
after you cut your finger nails you through the clipings away...but with hair the barber save it and makes paint brush tips out of the hair.
they dont do anything..it just looks like fingernails and hair..some people donate their hair to people who have like cancer or whatever..or to hair salons..but i dont know about fingernails...what a weird question
